HRM Engineering was founded in 1984 as HRM/Ritline when engineering consultancies Ritline and Hagman&Mölnlycke joined forces. In 1990 the owners of Ritline, Anders Ulriksson, Håkan Carlström and Jan Ulriksson, acquired the entire company. In 2010 managing director Mats Rogbrant became a partner.
From the outset HRM Engineering has had environmental technology as a one of its main offers, and the company was among the very first to build up expertise in electromobility and electric drivelines. This growing competence also drew international attention and HRM Engineering has had several assignments from manufacturers of electrified vehicles.
EDAG Engineering AB’s history goes back to the 1950s when consultant Bernt Nord developed production equipment for SKF and the Volvo group. Throughout the 20th century engineering company Ingenjörsfirman B. Nord AB established its position in western Sweden, a region dominated by the automotive industry.
In 1999, Wolfgang Rücker acquired the company and merged it into the Rücker Star Design Group. It was renamed was Rücker Nord AB in reference to its origins and also to the fact that it was the northernmost location of the Rücker Group. In 2014, EDAG Engineering AG acquired the growing company and named it EDAG Engineering AB.
Today, HRM EDAG is a strong actor with broad-based and in-depth expertise in vehicle development, product development, production development, quality management and acoustics. It focuses primarily on assignments in the fields of electromobility, connected services, lightweight design and engineering.
